Sloan, a spoiled artist ashamed of their trust fund, is having a very bad day. Their art fellowship fell through, and their parents just sold their beloved dog-walking business called Pup & Circumstance to Seth, a Patagonia-vested tech bro who thinks dogs are “emotional currency.”

Now demoted to a dog walker at the soullessly rebranded “Woofr,” Sloan is stuck with a ragtag crew: a hustler faking his way to viral fame, an over-anxious academic, a one-hit novelist secretly ghostwriting Seth’s blog, and a 70s hippie who hates tech.

As the group navigates chaotic clients and stalled dreams, Sloan secretly plots to build a new business while surviving the gig economy and surreal conspiracies lurking in the city’s manholes.
